How we research, cite, and update everything we publish.

Sources

Every factual claim links to a primary source, peer-reviewed journals, the National Institutes of Health, the FDA, vestibular research organizations, and published medical guidelines. We don’t cite other blogs or content aggregators.

Authors

Every article is written under a real name. Right now that’s primarily Ben Fried, our founder, who has been researching this topic since a family member started getting car sick as a toddler. As we grow, we plan to add a credentialed medical reviewer (MD or PharmD) whose review will be shown on every health claim.

Testing

For our “Research & Testing” articles, we evaluate products and techniques in real-world conditions: long car trips, winding roads, with kids and adults. We declare evaluation criteria up front, test against the same trip for fairness, and report results with their limitations.

Updates

Every article shows a “last updated” date. Substantive updates reset it; typo fixes don’t. When evidence changes, we update the article and note what changed.

Disclosures

We currently have no affiliate relationships. When that changes (it will, eventually), every article will disclose any commercial relationship in the article body and in our affiliate disclosure policy. Products we received for testing will be labeled.

Corrections

Found something wrong? Tell us. We post a correction with a date, acknowledge the issue, and update the article. We’d rather fix fast than be right by default.

What we don’t do

• Give individualized medical advice. We share information; you should still talk to a clinician.
• Diagnose conditions.
• Publish anonymous content.
• Use AI to generate articles without human review and editing.
