About
We built this site because someone we love hates car rides.
Hi, I’m Ben. I started nocarsick after years of watching a family member get sick on almost every car ride longer than fifteen minutes, and after realizing that the information out there about how to actually help was either thin, contradictory, or buried under affiliate-listicle noise.
So I started reading the research. Not the listicles. Not the brand pages. The vestibular research, the pediatric guidelines, the meta-analyses on ginger and antihistamines, the studies comparing front-seat versus middle-rear-seat for kids. And I started testing.
This site is what came out of it: the guide I wish we’d had when we were planning our first long road trip.
The promise is simple. Everything here is written under a real name, cites primary sources, and gets updated when better evidence comes along. We’ll never publish something we wouldn’t hand to a friend.
What this site isn’t
- Medical advice. We share information; you should still talk to your clinician.
- An affiliate listicle factory. We only recommend things we’ve actually tested, and we’ll always tell you when we have a commercial relationship.
- Anonymous. Every article has a real author. Right now, that’s me.
